Ordering photographic prints

Most photographs on this website are available for purchase for personal (no publication, no internet) use. Each photograph is signed and accompanied by available information about the photo.

Framing is extra. Shipping terms are specified at time of sale. All prints are professionally printed under supervision of the photographer.

Some black and white photographs can be printed on photographic paper in the darkroom, the old-fashioned non-digital way. These photographs are priced individually and run higher than digital-based prints. There are cost advantages that can be passed on to clients by making several prints during one darkroom session. Always inquire first.

Publication & commercial use licensing

Some photographs are available for publication and/or advertising. Each request is treated individually. Email to set up a consultation.

Use the button to pay for items only after arrangements have been made. You will receive an email authorizing payment and estimated delivery schedule. Please allow two weeks for personal print orders. Commercial orders on advanced deadlines may incur rush charges. Immediate digital delivery is available for commercial clients who have an established account, and who do not need prints.

Always inquire before ordering. Payments must be received before items are shipped. Never send cash through the mail. Personal checks clear before items are shipped.
About this website went online in 1999 as the internet presence for marketing and sales of Steam in the Valley, a History of the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum 1961-1998, a black and white coffeetable photographic book. Before long the website was also hosting a photo page for TVA's Weekend Academy to showcase photos the participants made using pinhole cameras. Then Unsheltered Voices, a publication for art and writing done by homeless persons found a home at SteamValley, but the host's 10mb limit was soon reached and the site stagnated.

Now on a different server, the site spotlights the portfolio and avocational works of John W. Coniglio, of Chattanooga, Tenn. A personal column (now we call them blogs) that began on will move here.

The former site featured activity at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Musuem as well as photos of railroad scenes in the Chattanooga area. Both features will continue as time and resources permit.
